A list of things I’ve accomplished or done but failed to write about in the last few weeks
- Baked Bagels
- Baked pretzels
- Made meatloaf
- Made homemade ravioli
- Setup my server as a router
- Setup Jinzora so I can stream my music
- Setup a dhcp server and DNS caching server
- Baked whole wheat bread (though this was a failure)
- Homemade pizza on homemade crust
- Baked bread sticks
- Photo walked around the Lake of the Isles
- Ate way to much at theGranite City breakfast buffet
- Accidentally deleted most of the photos I took this year and finally setup a backup system so I never do something stupid like that again
Some of these weren’t exactly blog worthy, but I really need to get better at photographing and writing about things I do. Especially the cooking, I love reading what other people are making for dinner, and should really share my own adventures.

This is why I put my photos on Flickr instead of hosting my own galleries like I used to.
My blog photos go on Flickr, but those that I don’t put on the blog or haven’t processed yet sit on my computer.
Sadly this was the motivation I needed to not only setup a backup system but order an external enclosure so I can put my extra 320gb hard drive to use. The best cure for procrastination is disaster.
Things I’d like to know more about: baked pretzels, the photo walk around Lake of the Isles, HOMEMADE RAVIOLI!, and what you thought of Granite City’s brunch buffet. Brunch is like, my favorite. It’s totally acceptable to drink champagne in the AM, so I’m a fan.
I too would like to hear about the Granite City brunch. I’m a fan of brunch (I’d like a bloody mary right now, thanks), but am generally unimpressed with Granite City. So obviously I’m torn by the mere thought of Granite City brunch.
I have a great wheat bread recipe for you. Originally found it here: It is failproof. http://www.recipezaar.com/Wholesome-Homemade-Honey-Whole-Wheat-Bread-32607 Good luck!
Thank you Chris. I think the reason I failed was because my oven was off by 50 degrees, something I discovered this past weekend. But that recipe looks awesome, I’ll have to give it a try someday soon.
