Wednesday Where? #27

Ok, technicly this should probably call this post Thursday There #1 but hey if I’m going to pretend this blog isn’t falling apart at the divs you need to keep pretending right along with me.

So anyone know where this was taken.  I’m guessing we’ll see a quick response but what do I know.

I realized this week that it’s been quite a while since I posted a statue here.  I always find statues interesting, their history is usually worth perusing.

Wednesday Where? #26

Well after a brief hiatus, Where is back.  This one comes to you from a far away land.  Okay, not that far away it is in the 7 country metro and should be recognizable to at least a portion of you.

Happy guessing and get outside and enjoy this weather when you are done.  It might be a bit humid, but compared to the last few days this is magical.

Wednesday Where? #25

I’m late, I know.  This completely slipped my mind this morning.  But hey, I had a photo all ready to go earlier this week.  It’s not my fault I was kept out until 1 in the morning last night.

Last week’s Where? was guessed corrrectly by John.  It’s a lovely church, just wish the sun would have been shining when I drove by it.

This week’s Where?  should be pretty easy for some of you.  Take a guess and then reward yourself with the ice cold beverage of your choice.

Have a great evening everyone.

Wednesday Where? #24

So last week we had two correct guesses almost immediately.  The building was the church at St Charles Borromeo off of Stinson Blvd in Minneapolis.

I’m late this week, but I am getting this up, we have another church.  I’m not sure if it will be quite as easy as last week, but hey it may be.

Guess away and be sure to tune in next week for even more guessing fun.

Wednesday Where #23

I have no idea how this is still going on, and I’m not talking about this feature but my blog.  I’ve launched and killed too many sites and none of them have survived as long as this single feature has.  So thanks for making this site fun.

First, last weeks Where? was guessed pretty closely, the bridge is actually located over Minnehaha creek, due north of Lake Nokomis.  Unfortunately, Google maps doesn’t let me see the trail so I can’t give a link to the exact location.  Maybe if I take a bike ride that direction when the weather isn’t 95+ I’ll get a photo of a better view.

This week is a neat building I came across during the last week.  I was working at the time and when I pulled off to the side of the road to snap this photo, I looked over and saw a lady sitting on her front porch staring at me.  Of course I had the Current playing a bit too loud and I’m fumbling with a camera.  Since I have a big company logo on the side of my car, I wonder what she thought?

You have to love the blue sky and green grass framing the building, right?

Wednesday Where #22

I can’t believe no one guessed last week’s Where.  It was the old Grain Belt brewery in Northeast Minneapolis.  I thought I had chosen an easy location, but I guess not.

This weeks is tougher.  Less context but also in a very heavily trafficed place.  I know at least one of my loyal readers is a frequent visitor to the area.

Start your hump day off right, give it a guess and don’t worry about being wrong.  Your only here to have fun, right?

Wednesday Where #21

It’s late, but I still got one done.  It was a beautiful day for photos, especially this morning.  Sadly, work kept me busy and I didn’t have a chance to take any photos.

Last week’s photo was guessed correctly almost as soon as it was up.  Good job guys.

This weeks I bring you another fairly easy one. (at least I think it should be)  Enjoy.

Have a great end of the week, and try to stay dry if it rains this weekend.

Wednesday Where #20

Hey, I’m back, and though I may not be on Twitter or writing anything, I’m still going to get out the 20th Where?  First, last weeks Where? received no guesses.  It was taken in the Richard T. Anderson Park off Flying Cloud Drive in Eden Prairie.

This week’s is a bit closer to home.   So give it a whirl, you have nothing to lose.

Happy hump day guessing.

Wednesday Where #19

Wow, we are approaching the 20th entry into this series.  That is a record for me.

So in keeping with the new format, last week’s Where? is the tower above 1010 W Lake Street.

This weeks Where? seems like it would be harder than last weeks, but considering no one guessed maybe this one will be easier.

I’m going to give one hint for this one becuase it’s a bit off the beaten path.  It’s near an a local airport.

Note:  If you visit the site to comment, you can check out my new theme I activated yesterday.  I would love your comments on that along with your guess.

Wednesday Where #18

I can’t believe I’ve done 18 of these.  Even more impressive is I’ve only skipped one week.  Unfortunatly, I realized last week I’m just not up to posting hints and remembering to check back occasionally so I’ve decided I’m going to change the plan.  Same rules for the photo, it’s taken somewhere in the 7 county metro area.  I’m no longer going to post hints, and will post the answer in the comments on the following Where?.

BTW last weeks photo was taken outside the armory on the U of M campus.

Here is this weeks photo.

This shouldn’t be too tough if you keep your eyes open.  Though I realized I had driven by it many times before I noticed it.
