I spent yesterday trying to wrestle an interesting post idea out of thin air. On the way I did come up with a neat idea that will be unveiled on Friday, but nothing to use today. So instead I’ll just show off some photos I took over the weekend. First two shots of the Target Field Construction area.

The yellow stone looks pretty neat, and it’s really come a long way the last few months.
Next I’ll leave you with two photos of the Proposition 8 protest march that was going on in downtown Minneapolis on Saturday. I only caught the tail end.

I saw a post on another blog linking to the voting page for the NBA All-Star Game. I could not tell you the last time I voted for an All-Star game in any of the major sports let alone watched one from start to finish. Here are a few ideas to get fans engaged. Hey, this might even get non-fans to watch the game. Read more…

Randy Wittman Needs to Go

I’m giving up, Randy Wittman is not going to be a successful head coach. I wanted to give him a chance, he came into an impossible situation, but after a 1-6 start, I am convinced he cannot produce a winning team. Read more…
A Reminder That Things Could Be Worse

Yesterday was a bad day, it was cold and wet and to top things off I got a flat tire. Usually I try to maintain a positive attitude, but I let it get to me. Thankfully I was going to rearrange my room due to my bed blocking the heat vent, it wasn’t exactly fun, but the work sucked the negative energy right out of me. Read more…

Love or Mayo | Can Everyone Please Settle Down
Written by Conner on November 11, 2008 | Permalink

I’ve seen a lot of people panicking over O.J. Mayo’s game last night. Suddenly Kevin Love is a nobody and Kevin McHale made another trading mistake. Can we all please calm down?
First let’s look at the situation. The Sun’s are not a good defensive team. In the last few weeks they have given up 23 points to Ramone Sessions. 23 points to Ben Gordon, and 23 points to both Danny Granger and T.J Ford. None of these players other than possibly the exception of Ben Gordon are high scoring players. If Mayo had scored 33 points against the Celtics I could see a legitimate reason for worry, but I think I could score a point or two against the Suns. Read more…

Coleman Bans Media Member from Press Conference

Just when it looked like the Coleman-Franken race couldn’t get any more ridiculous. This afternoon Norm Coleman banned a media member from a press conference in St. Paul. The Uptake may not be a main stream media outlet, but I respect them more than many of the members of the MSM. Why in the world did Minnesota vote for this guy? Read more…

I’m happy to announce the launch of Circle Square Technology. This is my new technology blog. It’s new so there isn’t a lot of content, but I hope some of my readers will visit and enjoy my take on a variety of technology topics. I will no longer be writing about technology on this site and will copy the current technology posts over shortly.
If you are wondering about the name, it is a tribute to my family cattle brand. It is a circle-square and is registered in Montana.
